Working prototype of $100 laptop

It's amazing when people think not only about satisfying their wants and needs, but do take care of those who really need this. I mean all those charity and non-profit organizations that do their best to help children, ill people or promote nature protection and sustainable use of natural resources. One of these organizations is One Laptop per Child (OLPC). It is a non-profit association dedicated to research to develop a $100 laptop for those children from poor countries. They want to offer those children from 3-rd world some new opportunities for development and self-realization. It's a very noble idea from my point of view.
They've already managed to make a working prototype of this. The laptop will feature LCD display, with high-resolution and low- resolution color modes.
It's not yet in production, but they hope to make it soon.
The devices won't be sold, but distributed to schools through governmental organizations.
