The OCULAS
When looking at this for the first time I didn't guess what it might be. But when I realized that it's a kind of chamber I was a little bit shocked.
The OCULAS was developed by the McLaren™ Formula One in cooperation with companies specializing in yacht building, computer specialists, different designers and experts in other fields. It has been in production for about a year. This fact is evidence of its quality, I think. In fact, the OCULAS is a high-tech mini room that can be of use for anyone who can afford this rather expensive device.
What it was developed for? They say that it helps when you want everybody to leave you alone, when you need piece and silence. In fact, it features everything that one can need for short term reclusion. At first, it's absolutely sound-proof. So, you can be sure that no sound will disturb you while your quiet meditations. Do not be afraid of gasping, perfect air filtration system was developed by the best specialists and guarantees fresh air all the time. There is also regulating system of illumination. It features build in flat screen monitor and there is enough space to install your PC. This high-tech egg can become you favorite place in your house. I wonder whether it's able to house two persons. If it does, I think the list of the occupations one can perform inside this will be significantly enlarged.) Unfortunately, I do not possess any information about its sizes. Anyway, I'd use it as a kind of music studio. I mean, that I'd willingly get it in order to listen to new CDs, something like test room. The matter is that I often don't get maximum pleasure of listening to my favorite compositions because of undesirable noise. I've already found a solution – headsets. But, you know, they don't give the sound that a stereo system c gives, no matter how good they are. At the same time I think of my hearing. Oh, I've forget to mention that it costs $45,000… So I suppose that headsets are not so harmful…)
There is another subject I think about: it should be a terrible product for those who suffer of claustrophobia.
